As a vegan, I'm not really a fan of the Gus's. But I just wanted to comment on the "wonderbreader" quote on the side of the blog....I LOVE the wonderbread smell. Every morning, as I head over the Madison bridge toward downtown, I take in a big deep whiff...I wish I could bottle that smell and turn it into an incense stick or a soy candle...
It's amazing how something so nutritional inconsequential can smell so wonderful (for lack of a better word).
There's beans, slaw, and beer in that picture. What more do you need?
